Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using AutoLog. By downloading, installing or using the AutoLog app or website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use AutoLog.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and AutoLog ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using any part of the service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
AutoLog is a vehicle management application for UK residents. It allows users to track MOT and tax status, store service history, log fuel costs, scan vehicle-related documents, monitor maintenance schedules, and share vehicle summaries with mechanics.
AutoLog connects to official UK government data sources (DVLA and DVSA) to provide accurate, up-to-date vehicle information. The service is provided via an iOS application distributed through the Apple App Store.
AutoLog Free is available at no cost and includes: one vehicle, MOT and tax tracking, service history, fuel log, document scanning, MOT history from DVSA, maintenance schedules, trip tracking, and a mechanic share link.
AutoLog+ is a paid subscription that adds: unlimited vehicles, detailed vehicle spec lookup, CarPlay auto trip detection, 200 AI actions per year per vehicle, and priority support. AutoLog+ is offered on a monthly (£2.99/month) or annual (£24.99/year) basis.
All AutoLog+ subscriptions are managed exclusively through Apple's StoreKit in-app purchase system. Billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their terms. We do not have access to your payment information. To cancel your subscription, manage it through your Apple ID settings.
You agree to:
Your use of AutoLog is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using AutoLog, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
AutoLog retrieves vehicle information from the DVLA Vehicle Enquiry API and the DVSA MOT History API, both operated by UK government agencies. While we strive to present this data accurately, AutoLog is not responsible for errors, omissions or inaccuracies in data sourced from these government systems.
You should always verify critical information (such as MOT expiry dates and tax status) directly with the relevant government service. AutoLog reminders and alerts are provided as a convenience only and should not be relied upon as your sole means of monitoring vehicle compliance.
AutoLog's document scanning feature uses optical character recognition (OCR) to extract data from photographs of vehicle documents. OCR accuracy is not guaranteed and may vary depending on image quality, document condition and format. You are responsible for verifying all data extracted from scanned documents before relying on it. AutoLog accepts no liability for errors arising from inaccurate OCR output.
AutoLog is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the service. We may suspend or discontinue the service (or any part of it) at any time for maintenance, improvements or other reasons, with or without notice. We will endeavour to provide advance notice of planned downtime where reasonably practicable.
By you: You may delete your account at any time from within the app. Deleting your account terminates these Terms and will result in the permanent deletion of your data within 30 days, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
By us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account without notice if we believe you have violated these Terms, abused the service, or engaged in fraudulent or unlawful activity. We may also terminate accounts on the free tier that have been inactive for more than 24 consecutive months, with at least 30 days' email notice.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AutoLog shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.
In particular, and without limitation, AutoLog accepts no liability for:
Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for AutoLog+ in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £10, whichever is greater.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for personal purposes in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from AutoLog without our prior written consent.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the law, our service, or our business practices. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of AutoLog after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should delete your account before they take effect.
